The Mallow is a cosy and friendly local pub, serving up Ballarat’s largest range of Independent beers on tap (as well as classic Melbourne Bitter) and a fridge packed with cans and stubbies, including Free Time zero alcohol cans. There is also a well priced wine list and a large range of spirits,

specialising in gin and whiskey. The Mallow is open from 4pm Wednesday – Saturday,

The kitchen is open for dinner four nights a week (closed Sunday – Tuesday). The menu consists of all the pub classics, plus interesting daily specials. The same menu is available in both the bar and the dining room.

Call ahead for a table in the dining room, where you can sit back, relax, and let the staff serve you. If you like things a little more casual, pull up a bar stool or a seat in one of the front rooms where you can order your meals and drinks at the bar.

In winter there are open fires to keep you warm, and you can now enjoy the outdoors all year round in the courtyard, which boasts a huge wood fireplace and pool table.

In the warmer months you can bask in the sunny Yard Bar.

The pub is open until 1:00am on Friday and Saturday nights with low lighting and a great soundtrack.

Across Victoria’s Midwest, we acknowledge that we travel across the ancient landscapes of many First Peoples communities.

These lands have been nurtured and cared for over tens of thousands of years and we respect the work of Traditional Custodians for their ongoing care and protection.

We recognise the past injustices against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. As our knowledge grows, we hope that we can learn from their resilience and creativity that has guided them for over 60,000 years.

As we invite people to visit and explore Victoria’s Midwest, we ask that alongside us, you also grow to respect the stories, living culture and connection to Country of the Ancestors and Elders of our First Peoples.
